My sincere heartfelt condolences to all who had the pleasure of knowing and sharing their lives with Al. I will remember Al as a dear friend, a member of our family, a valued employee (for over 12 years at The Captain's Shoppe), and a source of happiness and entertainment for my two youngest daughters (Simone & Croix) for which he he portrayed "Monkey Man" for them. I never heard a cross word from him in the more than 55 years I knew him, and he was forever in love with Carolyn and adored all of his family. I am sure he will be welcomed in Heaven where he will undoubtedly entertain the other residents and staff. May he Rest in Peace. 😇 With love, Terry

Uncle Alfie will be missed. I will always remember how funny you and Uncle Paul were when we went to the movies, baseball games, car races, and just out to eat. We always had a good time. I remember you always singing and I thought you were great. I will miss all your stories because you would make up some good ones and then really get me on the funny ones you made up. I miss going fishing and you showing me all the fish that we couldn't keep. Most of all I will just miss you so I will look for you in my dreams. You will be with your Mom, Dad, Sister, and all the relatives you talked about. Uncle Alfie, I love you. May God wrap his arms around you, unless you escape and play jokes on him. Oh boy, you are in trouble again. ðŸ¤ðŸ¥°ðŸ˜˜

Al was my favorite brother. We were blessed to share years of teasing, mischief, and laughter together. Car races, baseball games, and summer vacations were special with him. Our final time together he managed to sing softly one more funny song... leaving a lasting memory of his cheerful personality. My heart broke when he left this earth; but I know he will spread good cheer on his new journey. It is comforting to know Al had loving years with Carolyn, Laura Anne and his grandsons. I hope he always felt how much he was loved . He will be so very missed, remembered and loved..till we meet again. Paul

Al was a bright light to the world. He always had a joke, a song and a smile ready to liven up the area around him. His brother was fortunate to share many happy days at sporting events, movies and traveling with him over the years. Their favorite trip was a trip out West to Mount Rushmore and the Black Mountains. Al was blessed to share life and love with Carolyn, Laura Anne and his grandsons till the end. He always was kind to me...sharing smiles and jokes. Al will have the angels laughing! May your new journey be peaceful...knowing you left good memories and many who will miss you. Peg
