Virginia Chapman

September 30, 1946 - October 19, 2026

Virginia Chapman, born September 30, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on October 19, 2026, following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished family member who had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her family meant everything to her, and she treasured the time spent with those she loved. In her free time, Virginia enjoyed watching movies, reading, and, most importantly, being surrounded by her family.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Armella Chapman; her brother, John Chapman; her sister, Charlene Chapman; her cousin, JoAntine Granda; and her husband, Ronald Maciaszek.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her four sons, Brian Maciaszek and his wife, Rachel; Darin Maciaszek and his wife, Heather; Ryan Maciaszek; and Justin Maciaszek and his wife, Holly. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Jackson, Joy, Jenna Grace, Journi, Jared and his wife Bethany Maciaszek, Moxie, Darin Jr., Jayden, Kendall, and Hailey Maciaszek; and her great-grandchildren, Colton, Adelyn, and Ellie Maciaszek.

Virginia will be remembered for her loving heart, her warmth, and the way she made others feel valued and at home. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family for generations to come.
