In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, an organization that reflects Ron’s spirit of giving and his dedication to helping others.

It is with profound sadness and yet a deep sense of gratitude for a life well-lived and well-loved, that we announce the passing of Ronald Arthur Breese. Born on May 24, 1949, in the town of Lake View, Michigan, Ron departed from this world on April 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with illness.

Ron was the cherished son of the late Donald and Vera Breese, and he carried forward their legacy of kindness and warmth. He is predeceased by his beloved parents, and is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Janis Annette Breese (nee Theile), whom he married on April 10, 1982. Together, they built a life filled with love and mutual respect, a testament to their enduring partnership. Ron is also survived by his sons, David and Greg, his brothers Richard and Robert and sister Barbara.

A proud patriot, Ron served honorably for three tours with the United States Army, a commitment that deepened his love for his country and instilled a profound sense of discipline and duty. After his military service, Ron pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia College and University which paved the way for a diverse and fulfilling career. From owning his own automobile repair business between 2002 and 2010 to working as a lineman, safety inspector, and eventually retiring from Lakeland Electric, Ron demonstrated an unparalleled work ethic and a commitment to excellence.

Ron possessed a unique aptitude for all things mechanical, electrical, and electronic—a testament to his inquisitive mind and his perpetual desire to understand the world around him. He always had a project on his to-do list, many of which involved the companionship of friends and relatives. His hands were never idle, and his heart was always open.

Those who knew Ron will fondly remember his warm and welcoming nature. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel at home within his circle. He was a man who was constantly doing for others, giving his all for his family and friends, and extending a helping hand whenever needed. His generous spirit and infectious smile left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
