A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Richard’s name to the Veterans Administration. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Richard A. Minervini, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully in Lakeland, Florida on April 21, 2025, at the age of 81. Born in Chicago, Illinois on October 1, 1943, to Roger and Helen Minervini, Richard lived a life marked by unwavering dedication to his family, “la famiglia è tutto” (“Family is Everything” in Italian) and a deep appreciation for the magic of Disney.
Richard proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict, a testament to his strong sense of duty and patriotism. Following his service, he built a successful career as a Customer Service Manager, demonstrating his commitment to helping others. In 2009, Rich and Kathy relocated to Lakeland, Florida, where he embraced his love for Disney with many fun filled trips to the parks with his loved ones.
His love for his family was paramount. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Kathleen, sharing 53 years of marriage filled with love and companionship. He was a loving father to his daughter, Nicole Wallace (Jeff), and a cherished grandfather to his granddaughter, Elena Wallace. His warmth, kindness, and support enriched the lives of all who knew him. Richard’s passion for Disney brought joy to his family and friends, reflecting his youthful spirit and love for wonder.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Helen Minervini; his sister, Dolores Darring; and his brother, Umberto Minervini. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Minervini; his daughter, Nicole Wallace (Jeff); his granddaughter, Elena Wallace; and his brother, Dominic Minervini (Margaret).
