Remedios Rivera Renfroe

July 27, 1969 - March 5, 2026

Remedios (Remy) Rivera Renfroe, born July 27, 1969, passed away March 5, 2026. In her time with us, Remy left an indelible mark through her unwavering dedication to her family, community, and faith. A cherished member of Resurrection Catholic Church, she was deeply involved in various church activities, notably as part of the Emmaus group, the Bereavement Team, and the Resurrection Council of Catholic Women. Her commitment to these groups reflected her compassionate spirit and her desire to uplift and support others in times of need.

Remy had many passions. She loved capturing the beauty of nature and preserving memories with family and friends through photography. She enjoyed cooking, and, even more, sharing meals with loved ones. Her vibrant garden was not only beautiful, but also plentiful with ube, pineapple, and more.

Remy’s legacy is one of kindness, love, and devotion. Though she will be deeply missed, we celebrate Remy’s life and are grateful for the precious time we shared with her.

Remy was preceded in death by her father Alfon Rivera. She is survived by her husband Larry Renfroe, mother Nicetas Rivera, sisters Magie Vertierra (Rolando), Marivic Nodado (Cristino), Cherry Ricanor (Marlon), Pecca Kho (Jingle), and Chona Rivera, brother Juan Geralf Rivera (Marivic), mother-in-law Doris Renfroe, brother-in-law Leslie Renfroe, sister-in-law Karen Woodward (Daniel), and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service to honor Remy’s life will be held on March 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church in Lakeland, FL (live-streamed at youtube.com/@RCCS_Lakeland/streams.com). The service will be followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Remy to the Resurrection Council of Catholic Women at rcclakeland.org.
