She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, Florida.
Ramona Rhodes (Cintron) passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 83 in Lakeland, FL. She was born on January 30, 1940, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Ramona was a beloved elementary school teacher and was honored as Teacher of the Year on two occasions. She dedicated her life to shaping young minds and was a great example to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ramona had a deep love for God and was an active member of Esperanza City Church.
In addition to her teaching career and devotion to her faith, Ramona was an active church member and enjoyed helping others. She was known for her selflessness and kindness towards those in need. Ramona’s hobbies revolved around her church community, where she found joy in serving others.
Ramona Rhodes will be deeply missed by her children: Rafael E. Rivera, Luis A. Rivera, and Lizette Rivera, daughters-in-love, grandchildren and great grandchildren; friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her legacy as a dedicated teacher and a compassionate Christian will forever be remembered.
