Paul "Keith" Fussell

July 13, 1962 - February 16, 2024

Paul “Keith” Fussell,61, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, in Lakeland, FL. Keith was born on Friday, July 13, 1962, in Lakeland to Patsy Scott and Paul Fussell. He graduated from Auburndale High School in 1980 and was a lifelong resident of Polk City. In 1998, he married Karen in Polk City.
Keith worked for Intero Auto Parts for 15+ years and was owner of Circle P Landscape Inc. After selling the business, he was self-employed doing miscellaneous ranch related work and taking care of his family and cattle.
Keith was man of many talents. He was the Polk County Tuffman Boxing Champion. He also coached the boys in football, becoming the Polk City Jaguar Football Champions for several seasons. He also coached them in baseball and was the Auburndale City League Champion. Keith enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding the fence lines of the ranch to check on the cows and land. Keith considered himself firm but fair. He was the rock of his family and friends.
Keith is preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Jean Scott. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Karen; children; Paul Scott Fussell (Nikki), Jessica Mae Fussell, and Kyle Cronin (Katelyn); grandchildren, June, Levi, Dallie Rae, Folsom, Deladis, Luke and Amelia; father, Paul Charles Fussell (Samantha); sister, Jeana Fussell and nieces, Lyndsi, Jaylea and Corbyn.
Visitation for Keith will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 10:30 -11:00am with a funeral service following at 11:00am at Mt Olive Church, Polk City. Keith will be laid to rest at Mt Olive Cemetery, Polk City after the funeral service.
