Dear Olive, My name is Allen Ulmer, originally from Georgia. My mother was Margaret Thompson, granddaughter of Ebenezer Alvin Thompson, the brother of your grandmother, Allie Matlida Thompson. I have been doing research on mama’s side of the family and noticed on Ancestry.com several photos that were culled from a scrapbook of Aunt Allie’s. My question is who is in possession of the scrapbook now? I would love to know if there are photos of my great grandparents, Ebenezer Alvin and his wife, Johanna. If so, I would treasure to have copies fo them and any of Aunt Allie’s siblings and parents. It is amazing that such a scrapbook exist and I am thankful that Aunt Allie saw fit to collect family treasures. So sorry to hear of your passing. I was planning to visit you in Lakeland when I returned to the USA. My email address is [email protected] I am currently overseas serving as a missionary in Taiwan. Any photos can be sent to me electronically if someone near can assist with that. Hope to hear from your family there in Florida. Sincerely, your cousin, Allen Ulmer

I met Olive many years ago as she and my Mother Betty were very good friends. Olive was one of the kindest caring people I have ever known. I spoke to Olive a few months before she passed when she was out in her yard and her love for Jesus always showed in her actions and every conversation we had. It was a pleasure to have known her and I know that she is in the arms of our Lord. I pray that God will comfort her family for I am sure they miss her.
