We celebrate her life and extend the invitation to family and friends to join us on Saturday, February 22nd of 2025 for a brief service in her honor. The service will be held at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel, located at 2090 East Edgewood Drive, Lakeland FL, between 3:30 and 5:30 pm in honor of her memory
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mercedes Josefina (“Nena”) Villanueva de Nuñez de Caceres on February 13, 2025 in Lakeland, Florida.
She was 88 years old and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Florencio Antonio Nuñez de Caceres. She is survived by her son, Luis Enrique, and daughters, Mercedes, Carolina, Marianella, and Mariana, as well as her daughter- and sons-in-law, Mari Lupi Vielma, Luis Alberto Gonzalez, and Jesus Villanueva. She was blessed with grandchildren Alexander José, Valentina, Luis Enrique, Eugenia, Andres Alberto, Daniel Alberto, and Isabella, along with their spouses, in addition to great-grandchildren and her five siblings, Eduardo Antonio, Yolanda, Carlos Laureano, Silvia Beatriz, and Diego Bautista, as well as many nieces and nephews.
As we pay tribute to her wonderful life, we are reminded of her graceful, thoughtful ways and the impact she had in everyone that knew her. She was a pillar of love and strength for her family as well as the picture of dignified elegance, discretion and beauty.
