A memorial service will be held at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Lakeland on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM EST.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in MaryLou’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

MaryLou is my cousin through our common ancestor Charles Davenport, MaryLou through his son George, and I through his son Harmon. MaryLou was an incredible and intrepid researcher for our family, kindly sharing her work with me and a constant inspiration foe to continue. I will always treasure our meetup in North Carolina at a Davenport reunion a few years back. I was not aware she had passed until today, but I am here and ready to help anyone in her family who may continue her work. MaryLou, I getting close to identifying Charles' great grandfather!!! MaryLou, I know your are in God's loving arms, but I also know you are likely looking over His shoulder to see if you can find Humphrey's father for us! Love, Debbie

Our Robertson family in Danville has known Mary Lou for many years, especially my mother Judy. She always made us cookies at Christmas. She was an inspiration to me! She advised me as a Daughter of the King anytime I asked for help. She texted me about her “ surprise “ plants showing up in her yard in Lakeland. It was too fun trying to figure out together what they might be. She was a very special friend and I will miss her dearly.
