It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lofton Deal, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the age of 84. Lofton’s journey began on February 5, 1942, in the charming town of Winter Garden, Florida, born to the late Ewell and Mamie Deal.
Lofton was a proud graduate of Winter Haven High School. It was during these formative years that he developed an unwavering sense of duty and patriotism, which led him to bravely serve his country in the U.S. Navy. His time in the Navy not only showcased his dedication but also instilled in him a profound respect for the values of honor and integrity, which he carried throughout his life.
A man of many talents and skills, Lofton found his calling in the fields of maintenance and carpentry. He was known for his ability to fix anything and everything, and he took immense pride in his work, always approaching each task with diligence and precision. Beyond his professional life, Lofton was a man of diverse passions. He found freedom on the open road, riding his cherished Harley-Davidson motorcycle. His love for adventure also took him beneath the waves, where he explored the serene depths of the ocean through scuba diving.
Lofton’s greatest joy was his family, who were the center of his universe. He was a devoted father to his daughter, Debra (Donny) Talbot, son, Joseph (Regina), and daughters, Leah (Dino) Naber, and Michelle Moore. His love and guidance were constants in their lives, as were the countless moments filled with laughter and love. Lofton was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and joy.
He is survived by his siblings, sisters Tinky Abercrombie and Sue Dunaway, and brother Robert, each of whom held a special place in his heart. Though he is predeceased by his son Daniel Deal, as well as sister Betty, and brother Leroy, their memories live on, cherished by all who knew them.
