A Visitation for Larry will be on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 East Stanford Street, Bartow, FL 33830 and his Celebration of life will be held on at 4:00 pm just after the visitation at the church.
He will be laid to rest at Lake Wales Cemetery
Lawrence Edward Conner “Larry” went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, early Thursday morning, July 1, 2021. Larry was born November 9, 1947 in Hollywood, Florida. He came to Lake Wales in 1960 and he graduated from Lake Wales High School in 1965. He met his future wife of 53 years (Janice McGill) at a football game where they became high school sweethearts and married on October 6, 1967.
Larry was a real estate broker for 50 years in the Polk County area. He was known to go the “extra mile” to please his customers. Larry loved boating and camping with beloved family and friends. He had a great love for classic cars. Larry and Jan found a 1963 black Plymouth in 2011, just like the one he had after high school. They went to many car shows and made many friends over the years.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife; Janice “Jan” and their four children; Christine Fletcher (Michael Fletcher), Larry Conner, Jr, Tiffany Conner, and Nathan Conner (Mary) who gave him 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and sister, Candace MCGinnes
