Laurence Delbert Gower, a beloved husband, stepfather, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on May 24, 1948, in St. Paul, Minnesota, Laurence brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. He was the cherished son of Ivan and Fern Gower and is preceded in death by his loving parents.

Laurence dedicated many years of his life to the LaCrosse School District in Wisconsin, where he worked as a custodian. His commitment to providing a clean and welcoming environment for students and staff was a testament to his hard work and dedication.

His love for life extended beyond his professional career; he was an avid bowler, golfer, and softball player. These hobbies not only brought him joy but also allowed him to create lasting memories with friends and family. Laurence found passion in the game, whether it was striking down pins at the bowling alley or swinging a bat on the softball field, sharing laughter and camaraderie with his loved ones.

Laurence’s family was the center of his universe. He is survived by his devoted wife, Vicki Gower, and his stepdaughter Michelle Soerens (Kim), who he loved as his own. He is also remembered fondly by his cousins, Mary Ericksmoen (Larry) and Carol Derry (Ed), as well as his brother-in-law Kenneth Ziems (Cheri), brother-in-law Michael Ziems (Marta), and sister-in-law Tammy Ziems. Each of them holds treasured memories that will forever remain in their hearts.

As we remember Laurence, we celebrate a life filled with kindness, laughter, and the warmth of friendship. He had a unique ability to connect with those around him, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.

Laurence will be missed dearly, but his legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Rest in peace, dear Laurence. Your memory will forever be a cherished part of our lives.
