A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel, 2090 East Edgewood Drive, Lakeland, FL 33803.
Karen Rose Hampton, born in 1961 in Binghamton, NY, to Jesse and Molly VanOven, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Karen was a devoted mother, partner, sister, and friend. She is survived by her life partner, Jack Tucker; two daughters; one son; two sisters; two brothers; three grandchildren; one daughter-in-law; and her dear aunt, Frances Geertgens. She also leaves behind many cherished friends, cousins, and her devoted cousin and caretaker, Marrissa Benjamin.
Karen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Terry Hampton; her parents; and her son, Matt Thompson. Karen was an avid bingo player and loved her slots. Her memory lives on through the many lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
