Lane Bazemore passed away on July 2, 2021 after a valiant fight with cancer.
Lane was an avid hunter, a High School fishing team captain, a journeyman electrician but above all, he was a dedicated and devoted Dad, husband and Pop Pops to his loving family; Dawn (wife), Tyler Lane (son), Elizabeth Kendall (daughter), and Peyton Parrish (grandson by heart – (Brittney Scott/Taylor Parrish).
Lane met the love of his life, Dawn, on a blind date. Their first date was a horse auction and seven years later, they were married. Lane and Dawn just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and worked tirelessly together to be amazing role models for their children and their community through Faith Equine Rescue. Lane loved the rescue where he provided a home to save and rehabilitate abused and neglected animals.
Lane spent every hunting season in the woods with his son Tyler. Every fishing season he Captained Tyler for the High School Fishing Team. Lane coached recreational baseball for several years and acted as a sponsor and coach for the Bartow High School Fishing team and the Ft. Meade Middle/Senior High School Fishing Team. Later, after Tyler graduated, he Captained and coached for other students at the school as well.
Lane not only supported his daughter Elizabeth’s obsession but also participated passionately in horse, cattle, and pig shows. He and Elizabeth worked together and developed a cattle program for the livestock they both dearly loved.
Lane graduated from Bartow High School in 1986 and worked for the Polk County Board of County Commissioners as a journeyman electrician for 23 years. He was a long-time resident of Mulberry, Florida and a founding member and tireless supporter of Faith Equine Rescue.
Lane will be greatly and forever missed by Dawn Bazemore (wife), Tyler Lane Bazemore (son), Elizabeth Kendall Bazemore (daughter), Peyton Parrish (grandson by heart), Anthony Tripi (nephew) Vincent Tripi (nephew), Shirley Bazemore (mother) Brent Bazemore (brother), (Sister), Scarlet Bazemore, (niece), Kameron Kelly (nephew) along with many extended non-biological sons and friends.
