Janet Z Pultz

September 15, 1949 - March 3, 2025

Janet Z. Pultz, 76, passed away March 3, 2025, at home in Lakeland, Florida. She was born in Auburn, New York on September 15, 1949, to Paul & Betty (Lumb) Zibbon. She moved to Lakeland, Florida 35 years ago. In her younger years she was raised on a country farm outside of Auburn, NY. She raised and showed Pinto & Arabian horses for many years with her mother.  She was runner up in the New York State Pinto Queen Contest. She was an animal lover all her life. She was a Beautician for a few years before she became a Civil Service Employee for The Port Byron School System, Port Byron, NY.  After moving to Lakeland, Fl. 35 years ago. She was also very active with The City of Lakeland, Lakeland Police Dept. Neighborhood Crime Watch, National Night Out Age Friendly Lakeland and President of The Lakeshore Neighborhood Association for many years where she lived. In 2017 she was the first Recipient of The Mary Smith Memorial Award, presented to her by The Lakeland Police Dept. In 2019 she was presented with a Lifetime Service Award by The City of Lakeland.

With all she’s done over the years her best times were travelling the country with her husband and best friend Gary. She is survived by her loving Husband of 48 years Gary L. Pultz; many cousins and a brother and sister in laws.

Burial will be later in Port Byron, NY. At Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
