God, please open those pearly gates for another Angel you are bringing home…Jane Clay Sigler, 73 who passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in her hometown of Clearwater, Fl. They broke the mold on this one Lord. Originally from Ashville, Ohio. A small town where everyone knew their neighbor, especially Jane, with her father being the Chief of Police. Jane was a cheerleader in high school. She was heavily involved in Beauty Pageant’s, the community and at the time the Jaycettes.
Relocating to Florida in the 70s. Jane again got involved in the communities of Seminole, Largo, and Clearwater through the Jaycettes and eventually the Jaycees, while holding a full-time job with the City of Clearwater, eventually 29 years at Tech Data and raising her beloved son Jared. President of the Clearwater Jaycees, 88-89. Jane also molded new leaders through Florida Jaycees as Regional Advisor. She received her Senatorship in 1989 and continued those contributions by building a better Florida. She believed in the words of the Jaycee Creed: “Service to Humanity, is the Best Work of Life.” Jane volunteered in several non-profits, such as local Wheelchairs 4 Kids and not so Local Rodeheavers Boys Ranch, Muscular Dystrophy, and Veterans Day events. She is survived by her Fiancé, Daniel Langford; brother ,Mitch Clay and his wife Linda; Grandson, Jared Jr (12) and many nieces and nephews, Shannon Moreno, Adam Winks, Katie Clay, Bill Clay, Michele Strous, Rua Clay, Liza Wilson. Including a circle of friends that were to her extended family. Her compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
As she transitions into the hereafter, she is being embraced by her sister Sandra, her brother Steven, and her beloved son Jared; her parents, Glenn and Mary Jane Clay; let’s not forget her dogs Stormy and Ski. Her compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering loyalty will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know her. A celebration of Jane’s life will be in weeks to come, where friends and loved ones can share memories of a woman who touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness.
