James Scheil

March 19, 1945 - July 17, 2026

James Edward Scheil (“Jim”), 81, of Lakeland, Florida passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on March 29, 1945, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Jim lived a life marked by kindness, faith and friendship.  Jim was a friend to all. He greeted everyone he met with a warm smile, a handshake or hug, and a joyful “Praise the Lord”. The many visitors who came to see him in his final days reflected the deep impact he had on so many lives.

Although we are deeply saddened by his passing, we rejoice in knowing that he is with his Lord. A man of unwavering faith, Jim devoted his life to serving the Lord through several churches and organizations.

A private Celebration of Life is being planned for later this year.
