Iantha Tucker Daniels

February 4, 1946 - March 20, 2025

Iantha Tucker Daniels, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dedicated community member, passed away peacefully on March 20th, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Born on February 4th, 1946, in Ocilla, Georgia, Iantha’s life was marked by unwavering kindness, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for her family and community.

Iantha’s life took a significant turn in 1972 when she met the love of her life, Jim Daniels. They married in 1973, embarking on a loving partnership that spanned over five decades. Together, they raised three children: Melissa, Jeff, and Jennifer. Iantha’s family grew to include eleven cherished grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

After her children were older, Iantha dedicated herself to a career with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, where her organizational skills and dedication led her to a position as an administrator of supplies. Beyond her professional achievements, Iantha found fulfillment in a variety of hobbies.  She was a skilled cook, and a talented seamstress, whose handiwork brought beauty and comfort to those around her.  She and Jim shared a passion for bicycling, traveling, and cruising, and creating many cherished memories together.

Iantha was an active and engaged member of her community. She contributed her time and energy to the Activities Committee and spearheaded the local police C.A.P. patrol, a testament to her commitment to safety and neighborhood well-being.

Iantha will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love, hard work, and community spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Daniels; her children, Melissa, Jeff, and Jennifer; her eleven grandchildren; and her seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Iantha’s life will be held on March 30, 2025 at 2-5PM at Carillon Lakes Club House 3901 Carillon Blvd. Lakeland FL 33811
