Edna Mae Whitaker

Edna Mae Rivers Whitaker passed away on June 2, 2023, she was born on May 3, 1935, in Ft Meade, Florida where she resided for many years before moving to Bartow in 1959. She retired from the Property Appraisers office after 35 years of service. Edna was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. She was a 1953 graduate of Ft Meade High School. Edna is preceded in death by her husband James Whitaker; parents, William “Bill” and Ethel Mae (Leverette) Rivers; siblings, Bill and Marvin Rivers, Evelyn Sims. She is survived by daughter, Deborah Whitaker and son, Michael Whitaker; grandson, Nathan Whitaker; several nieces and nephews; sister, Vivian Spray.
