He was born on July 16, 1963, in Lakeland Florida to the late LC and Edna Robinson. Derrick possessed an infectious smile and a warm heart that drew people to him. Derrick had a passion for hunting and fishing. He loved being in the woods with his friends and family sitting at a hunting camp just enjoying the company. He had a love for bass fishing and enjoyed teaching his children and grandchildren how to fish. Derrick never could pass on a yard sale or auction, especially when fishing supplies were available.
