Cynthia Marie Green

April 25, 1959 - December 14, 2021

Cynthia Marie Green born April 25, 1959 to the late Andrew and Dorothy Green.
She started her journey with Sunrise Community at The Country Meadows Group Home in Sarasota, FL and was transferred to the ICF Greentree Cluster located in Bartow Florida the year of 2008. She instantly became a beloved client, full of smiles and sunshine at the Clusters. Cynthia enjoyed going out to eat. Her favorite restaurants were Golden Corral and Olive Garden. She loved eating home cooked meals prepared by the Cluster’s Dietary Supervisor, Aaron Walker, who she nicked-named “Larry” after her father. Cynthia’s favorite thing to do was to spend time with her home manager, Tamara McMillan who has been her manager since 2008. Cynthia loved her staff team-members and they all loved her. They called her many affectionate names that she loved such as “Sunshine”, “Queen” & “Aunt Cynthia”. She had a close bond with her Guardian Advocate Nanette Shaw. Cynthia had a special connection with Nurse, Faye Taylor. Nurse Faye has known Cynthia as well since 2008.
Cynthia is survived by her 7 housemates; Wes, KK, Travis, Richard, Chris and her roommate of many years DeDe. They will miss her dearly. She is also survived by all the hard working staff members who loved and care for daily while she lived at the Cluster; her guardian, Nanette Shaw and her home manager, Tamara McMillan who both advocated for her needs until her completion on this earth.
Cynthia’s presence, smile and sunshine personality will be forever by the sunrise Community Family.

Cynthia’s Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 1pm at Central Florida Casket Store and Funeral Chapel,2090 E Edgewood Dr, Lakeland, FL 33803
