Clyde “Bill” Brown, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida, at the age of 83. Born on September 19, 1942, in Ft. Meade, Florida, Bill lived a life rich in love, laughter, and community.

Bill was the cherished son of Clyde and Lucille Brown, who instilled in him the values of kindness, hard work, and the importance of family. He graduated from Ft. Meade High School, where he laid the foundation for a life filled with passion and dedication. After completing his education, Bill embarked on a fulfilling career as a mechanic, spending 15 years at Hubbard Heavy Equipment, where he was known for his skill and unwavering work ethic before his well-deserved retirement.

On January 8, 1983, Bill married the love of his life, Martha Brown. Together, they created a beautiful family, raising three sons—David, Matthew, and Mark Brown—and nurturing their relationships with his stepson, David Robinson, and stepdaughter, Cathy Robinson. Bill’s legacy lives on through his eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored and cherished deeply.

Life was never dull for Bill, who was a firm believer in living “one day at a time.” His warm-hearted nature and infectious smile made him a friend to all who crossed his path. He had a remarkable gift for conversation, always engaging with those around him, spreading joy and positivity wherever he went. Bill was a dedicated member of Victory Church in Lakeland, where he contributed his spirit of camaraderie and support to his community.

An avid NASCAR fan, Bill was known for cheering on his favorite Florida State Seminoles with unyielding enthusiasm. His love for sports was matched only by his love for his family, as he often gathered with them to share in the excitement of games and life’s precious moments.

Bill is preceded in death by his loving parents, his beloved son John L., and two sisters, who he missed dearly. He is survived by his devoted wife, Martha Brown, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of friends who will remember him for his kindness, humor, and unwavering positivity.
