Bonnie Lou Outten Williams, 77, dies peacefully at her home on May 16, 2024, after a long illness. She was the daughter of George and Blanche Outten of Millsboro, DE. She spent all of her childhood in small town southern Delaware until moving to Lakeland, FL in 1962. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Education. Bonnie was a Physical Education teacher in Polk County until she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Florida Southern College. She then worked in the finance department of Lakeland Regional Hospital and ended her career at Tampa General Hospital. Bonnie was married to William J. Williams who preceded her in death.

Two of Bonnie’s biggest passions were animals and travel. If there was a stray or abandoned animal, Bonnie was likely to take it home. She especially loved Basset Hounds and owned and bred them for several years. Bonnie traveled a good part of Europe with her family and enjoyed the history and sights. She was even able to take a trip to China.

Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Katherine Williams, and grandson, Austin Campbell. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to Suncoast Basset Rescue.
