Agnes Irene Lodwick Kilby (100) passed away at the Florida Presbyterian Homes on November 20, 2023. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Florida Presbyterian Homes, 16 Lake Hunter Dr, Lakeland, FL 33803, on January 15th at 1:00 PM.

Agnes survived her husband of 66 years, Paul Christian Kilby. She lived in Lakeland since 1987. Agnes and Paul helped numerous Lakeland residents with income taxes as a volunteer with the AARP Tax Program.  Agnes Irene Lodwick was born in Mt Pleasant, Ohio on November 15, 1923. She was the youngest daughter of Rev. DR Edward W. Lodwick DD and Agnes Irwin Parrett Lodwick. She graduated from Cumberland, OH High School and earned an MA in Home Economics from Cornell University and a BA from The Ohio State University.

Paul and Agnes raised 4 children in Ithaca, NY where Agnes worked at several Jobs including Girl Scout Administration and a Teacher at the Lansing Girls Residential Center. She served the First Presbyterian Church as Deacon and Elder. After retirement, Agnes and Paul were Peace Corp Volunteers in the Dominican Republic.

Paul and Agnes loved to travel and drove their camper as far north as Alaska and as far south as Belize. They visited every continent except Antarctica. Agnes is preceded in death by her sisters and brothers Edward Lodwick (Louise), Rev Robert Lodwick (Irene), Marian Bauer (Paul), Margaret Pittman (Ray) and her son Lance Kilby.

Agnes is survived her son Eric Kilby (Nancy) and grandchildren Kathryn Moon (Sean) and Charles Kilby (Xingni), her son Alan Kilby (Ann) and grandchildren Daniel Kilby, Lisa Kilby , and Rachael Kilby, her daughter Maren Cesarini of Clearwater, FL and her great-grandchild James Hathorne, Oliver Bellevue, Gabriella Kilby-Ford and River Kilby-Ford.
