William “Bill” E. Holt passed away on March 13, 2024, in Lakeland, Fl. He was born in Ottawa, IL on October 16, 1953. Bill graduated from Woodland High school in 1971 and attended
Lakeland Business College and Traviss Vocational School. Soon after he married Dixie Holt on married on June 3rd, 1972. He was self-employed as WEH Drafting, and retired after many years in construction and project management.
A few of Bill’s special interests included fishing, hunting, the majestic eagle, and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed NSCAR, the beach, camping, visiting family and photography. Bill took great pride in his grilling, always creating his own recipes for sausage and bacon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lola Rae DeHoward Kuehl and William Earnest Holt.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Dixie Holt; two daughters, Necole Holt (Wayne Williams) and Carrie Schaible (Steven Schaible); two grandchildren, Jonathan Jones and Amber Schaible and his siblings, Marlina Miller, Cindy McMeen, Esther Carlson, Eva Roberts.
