Patricia "Pat" A Poole

June 13, 1948 - April 5, 2025

Patricia Ann (Thompson) Poole, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025.  Born in Lakeland, Florida on June 13, 1948, to Leo and Vera (Beall) Thompson, Pat lived a life filled with love for her family and the simple joys of nature.

Pat’s gentle spirit was evident in everything she did.  She found immense pleasure in tending her vibrant flower gardens, creating a beautiful oasis she cherished.  A devoted movie enthusiast, Pat also enjoyed escaping into the magic of the silver screen.  Most of all, however, Pat found her greatest happiness in the company of her children and grandchildren.  Surrounded by their laughter and love, she truly thrived.

She is survived by her two sons, Bobby Sumner and Jimmy Sumner; her daughter, Lynn Henry; sixteen grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life; and ten great-grandchildren who were the lights of her later years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Vera Thompson.

Pat’s memory will be forever cherished by those who knew her.  Her kindness, her love for her family, and her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have shared in her life.  She will be deeply missed.

Graveside Services for Pat will be on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 11am at Bethel Cemetery in Lakeland, Fl, where she will be laid to rest with her mother and brother.
