Morgan Luck Goers, age 91, passed away peacefully, March 28, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by a bit of adventure, curiosity and faithful service..
From an early age, she embraced life with grace and a sense of adventure. In her twenties, she married Luther Luck, becoming an Air Force wife in Maine before settling in Venice, Florida. Alongside her life as a homemaker, she earned her wings as a pilot of small planes, reflecting her courage and independence.
After moving to Lakeland as a single mother, she followed her passion for education. She earned her degree from Florida Southern College and went on to teach at Santa Fe High School, where she inspired her students with dedication, patience, and care.
She married Bruce Goers in 1976, beginning a partnership rooted in love, faith, and shared purpose until his death in October of 2025. Together, they nurtured a deep commitment to their church, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, and found joy in cultivating prize-winning roses, orchids and tending to beekeeping among other hobbies. Morgan also served as President of her local Garden Club.
In retirement, she found deep joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. She was an avid reader, a devoted member of her church choir, and an active participant in Bible study. Her faith, warmth, and confident spirit touched all who knew her.
Morgan will be remembered for her strength, versatility, unwavering devotion, and the love she shared with her family and community throughout her long and meaningful life.
She is survived by her daughters Lucinda Luck and Rebecca Thayer, her step children Christopher Goers (Jennifer), Patsy Rogers (Wayne), Howard Goers and Andrew Goers. She is also survived by her siblings, John LeBlanc and Mary Katherine LeBlanc Nevels, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
