A church service to celebrate Donna’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Lakeland, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Donna Marie Andrews, 80, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.
Born on May 20, 1945, in Rochester, New York, Donna was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Evelyn Shatzel. She built a successful career in sales with Universal Forest Products, where her professionalism, dedication, and kindness earned the respect of all who worked alongside her.
Donna made her home in Lakeland, where she was a devoted member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her children, Deniene Marie Eldridge and David Joseph Andrews, and her cherished grandchildren Matthew, Kaleigh, and Devin, all of whom she loved deeply and proudly.
A natural hostess and the life of every gathering, Donna was passionate about cooking, entertaining, and travel. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the company of loved ones. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.
Deeply committed to helping others, Donna volunteered with Reading Pals, a United Way program supporting pre-K students, and continued her late husband’s tradition of supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She also served as a notary and civil officiant, joyfully conducting many wedding ceremonies for family and friends.
Donna’s warmth, faith, and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, generosity, and joy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
