Donald E. Sawtelle

Don entered the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 29, 2025, at the age of 97 years. Don trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 23. After the Army, Don attended Philadelphia College of the Bible where he met his future wife, Gloria. After Don and Gloria married, they moved to Johnson City, NY, where Don continued his education at Baptist Bible Seminary. Don served as Pastor in churches in PA, NJ, and FL, and taught special education in Polk County, FL. They were blessed with four children, eight grandchildren, great- and great-great-grandchildren.
His wife of 67 years, Gloria preceded him in death and will be laid to rest with her at Florida National Cemetery, His daughter, Lori (Sawtelle) Reitnauer also precedes him in death.
The everlasting message of Acts 16:31, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” is what Don lived and shared with many through his witnessing and his personally designed Bible Studies.
