Domingo "Meni" Martinez

Domingo “Meni” E. Martinez, a beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. He was 63 years young. Born on September 13, 1961, in Italy to Jose and Yolanda Martinez, Meni brought joy and a childlike wonder and sometimes aggravation to the lives of all who knew him.

Meni possessed a spirit as vibrant as his artistic talent. He found solace and expression in painting, creating works that reflected his unique perspective and zest for life. Meni was a member of the Knights of Columbus at his church. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures like a baseball game with his brother-in-law, Richard, and finding delight in the thrill of a lottery scratch-off ticket, a car shows or salsa hip hop dance. More than any material possession, however, Meni treasured the love of his family and friends Meni loved to have a beer with his brothers from time to time. His kind heart and playful nature touched many, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and happiness.

Preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Yolanda Martinez, and his beloved feline companion, Kiki, Meni is survived by seven siblings: Pepito, Mercedes, Mireya, Ana, Jose Luis, Eduardo, and Rosalia; as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his extensive family, who remember him for his infectious laughter, his gentle soul, and his unwavering spirit.
