A Funeral Mass celebrating Diane’s life will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11am at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 924 Marcum Road, Lakeland, Florida.
Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the life of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, nurse, and friend.
Lorraine Diane Carriere, 77, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Charleston, South Carolina.
On June 10, 1967, Diane married the love of her life, Lew Carriere. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, family, and unwavering devotion. Their marriage of 59 years was a testament to their deep commitment to one another, and Diane cherished her husband above all else.
Diane was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who faithfully served the Lakeland community at Lakeland Regional Health for 36 years. She touched countless lives through her kindness and exceptional care, earning the respect and gratitude of her patients and colleagues.
Family was the greatest joy of Diane’s life. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lew Carriere; her daughter, Yvonne Carriere and her son, Jay Carriere and wife, Nancy; She was a proud grandmother to Kayla and husband Randy, Gregory, Ansley and her beloved grandson Seth, who preceded her in death. Diane also leaves behind four cherished great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kirsten, Tryston, and Emma, who brought endless happiness to her life.
Diane is also survived by her sister, Norma. She was preceded in death by her three brothers, Charles, Dwight and Timothy Pittenger.
Outside of her career, Diane found great joy in camping with her family, spending time swimming with her great-grandchildren, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. Her generous spirit and unconditional love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Diane’s legacy is one of compassion, strength, devotion, and love. She leaves behind a family who will continue to honor her memory by living the values she exemplified every day.
