Ada Frances Walker (née McCallister), a beloved mother, grandmother, and devout Christian, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. She was 85 years old.
Born on August 18, 1939, in Nitro, West Virginia, to George and Ada McCallister, Ada lived a life filled with faith, family, and a deep commitment to serving others. Her Christian faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found immense joy in sharing her faith with others, particularly through her dedicated service teaching and assisting children at Vacation Bible School (VBS).
Ada’s life was a testament to her unwavering love for her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon Walker, and her daughters, Debbie Clayberger and Georgia Cox. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by her two sons, Richard Clayberger (Lynn) and Michael Clayberger; and three grandchildren, Michael West, McKenzie Clayberger, and Nicholas Clayberger. Her family will always remember her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the unwavering support she provided throughout their lives.
Ada’s warmth and generosity touched countless lives. She possessed a quiet strength and a deep compassion for those around her. Her memory will be forever cherished by all who knew her.
