Robert Eugene Walker

July 28, 1940 - October 31, 2022

Our dear Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great grandfather; Robert (Bob) Eugene Walker, is resting in eternal peace at age 82 in Lakeland, FL on October 31, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 28,1940 in Greeley, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard Dorothy Schoenberger (Gardner) and his siblings; Sisters Donna Stockton, Shelia Morphew and Brother Kenneth Walker. The grief of his passing is shared by his wife of 37 years Sharon Walker (Braddy); Children Howard Walker and wife Judy Walker; Dorothy Walker;  three stepchildren; Lori, Michelle and David. Bob is also survived by brothers Richard and Donald Schoenberger; Sister, Debra Brooks; ten grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren that he dearly loved.
Bob served proudly for seven years as a Seaman on the USS Massey and Sarsfield. He worked for Scotty’s Home Improvement for 10 years as a truck driver, then after retirement worked for Regal in Lakeland. Bob was a funny man, he was telling jokes right up till his last days. His siblings will tell you that he was a loving and supportive big brother. Bob’s favorite hobby was bass fishing, and he enjoyed his time on his boats. He was a member of the local Bass Fisherman club. He won many Fishing tournaments.
Bob will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on December 16, 2022, at 1:00 pm. No flowers can be received at the cemetery; in lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations given to assist the family with expenses. “And when great souls die, after a period peace blooms”
