Obituaries

Kimberley Boyakin Learned was born in Oakland, CA on May 8th, 1972. She lost her battle with Cervical Cancer on July 3, 2023. Kimmi was initially diagnosed with Cervical Cancer in December 2017 and beat it in 2018. She was again diagnosed in April of 2022.

Kimmi was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She had a passion for animals. She was an Eeyore fanatic and has an abundant collection. For Kimmi family came first. She will forever be in our hearts. Kimmi was the daughter of a Marine and spent her early childhood moving quite a bit. She settled in Jacksonville, NC once her father retired. She married after high school and had 3 children with her first husband. In 2010 she met her soulmate, and they were married on September 9th, 2011.

Kimmi is preceded in death by her grandparents, her father MGySgt Maurice L Boyakin (Bud), and granddaughter Violet Kellum.

Kimmi is survived by her loving husband Michael J Learned, her mother Sylvia B Marks, and her siblings DeAnn B Lossing (Donald), Nona D Huff (Michael), and Aubrey L Boyakin (Audrey). Her children, Gage (Roo) Kellum (Heather), Dallas Kellum, Tristan Kellum, Alicia Learned, Cody Learned, and Matthew Learned. Six grandchildren, fifteen nieces and nephews, and numerous loving family members.

A celebration of life will take place at Lake Gibson Church of the Nazarene on July 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., 6868 N Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, FL 33809.5-8-1972
