Cory Chester Green, 40, of Lithia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2021. He was born on May 19, 1980 in Tampa. Lived all of his life in Keysville on the same property he was raised on. He graduated and completed some college. He was employed by Southeastern  Construction for 25 and a half years. He enjoyed Hunting and fishing, but his favorite was spending time with his wife and children. He loved going to the mountains with his family and finding a little stream and just sitting and listening to the waters and talk about how amazing God was. Taking his family out and teaching them to shoot guns was something he said was a must.  Cory was a devoted Christian and loved his church family, Remnant Holiness Church, where he loved playing the piano, bass, and drums, but of course the piano was his favorite. He was a firefighter for Polk County when he was 18, for several years. He loved running the calls with all his Firefighter buddies. Helping others was something he never gave up doing.

He was preceded in death by three of his Angel babies, Grandparents: Chester Green Sr., Aurelio and Josie Fernandez. He is survived by his wife of 21 years: Rachel. Children: Elizabeth, Caleb, Caitlin, and Trenton. Parents: Chester and Vivian Green, Sister: Melissa and Buddy Grimes. In-laws: Robert and Patricia Shepherd. Sister In-laws: April and James Raines, Stephanie and Nathan Johnson. Nieces: Breanna Johnson and Abby Raines. Nephews: Ben and Dylan Raines, Ethan and Evan Johnson, Clayton and Preston Grimes. Many cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and a numerous amount of Friends.

Viewing will be from 6-8 pm on Friday January 29th and Funeral at 10 am on Saturday January 30th, at Old Paths Holiness Church in Mulberry, Fl. Graveside will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Plant City. Flowers may be sent to Old Paths Holiness Church. At the family’s request, facial coverings will be required.
