Susan Padgett Robertson met and hugged our Lord Jesus Christ on March 3rd in the year 2020 at 3:23 PM eastern time. Without fear and with Faith she gracefully went Home.
Susan was a friend. She was a friend to those she liked. She was a friend to those she did not know. She was a friend to those she had a reason to despise. She always helped others whenever she could in any way that she was able and had tremendous empathy for those who were lost or in pain. Susan was a friend to her Husband and through her love she taught him what was truly important in life. She was a friend to her sons, never giving up on them, always available, and guiding them with love in the best way she was able. She was the family matriarch who kept the extended family connected despite what often seemed to be insurmountable obstacles. Susan would be straightforward with you. Everyone knew where she stood but she would respect your beliefs as well. One of Susan’s greatest strengths was her ability to listen. She cared and you knew that. She worried about others and you knew that. If you had something to share, whether good or bad, you went to Susan with it. She loved and you knew that. Susan didn’t care about material wealth but thrived on spiritual wealth and time spent with loved ones, family and friends. Even in her pain throughout her treatment and surgeries and in her battle with cancer, Susan would make people laugh and comfort them in their sadness. Even through her sickness she brought people together and healed old wounds. Susan was a good friend.
Susan was a strong advocate for organ donation and desired to continue to participate in the annual Mid-America Transplant run/walk as a donor in the same way that her son, Jesse, who preceded her, does.
Susan was born in Lakeland, Florida in the same hospital that she passed away at. She most recently lived in Steedman, Missouri.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Stanley Robertson and son Jeremy Robertson. She was preceded In death by her youngest son Jesse Robertson. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kayla Hammers and her husband Brett, Karinah, Jordan and his wife Cammie, Jeremiah, Zachary, Malayna, and Savanna Robertson, and she was preceded by her granddaughter Emily Robertson. Susan is also survived by her great granddaughters Mariyah and Maci Hammers as well as her soon to be born great grandson Elijah Robertson. She is survived by her sisters Brenda and Lisa with Husband David, as well as her brothers Sherman with wife Margaret , and Steve, her cousin Patty with Richard, mother-in-law Florence and her brother and sister in-laws with their spouses. She was preceded by her mother Frieda Boss, her Granny Pat her aunt Dorothy, her father-in-law Richard and her biological father William. Susan was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.
A Celebration of Her Life will later be scheduled sometime after the pandemic restrictions are lifted.
