Raymond “Ray” Earl Stiverson Jr., 83, of Lakeland, FL passed away peacefully in his home on August 9th surrounded by his loving family.  Ray grew up in Bethany, Oklahoma with parents, Raymond and Oneta Stiverson. Ray graduated in 1955 from Putnam City High.  He received a Bachelor’s of Business from Oklahoma Baptist University.  He also attended Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX where he met his wife, Sharon. He spent most of his career in sales in Oklahoma and Arizona.  He pastored in a small, rural church in Oklahoma.  He was actively involved in each church he was a part of.  He enjoyed playing golf, solving crosswords and spending time with his grandkids.

Ray is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sharon Boyes Stiverson; sons, Scott (wife, Trina) of Denver, CO; Bryan (wife, Jennifer) of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren: Meagan, Sam, Zack, Ellie and Jason; brothers JP of Holdenville, OK, Greg of Edmond, OK and Danny of Pensacola, FL.

Ray was a sweet, gentle soul, always known to be a peacemaker and had a servant’s heart.  He will be greatly missed but we rest in knowing we will be with him again in heaven.
