Margie Ann Rogers Roach, passed away 11th of June, 2019, in Lakeland, Florida. A visitation will be held Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at 2090 East Edgewood Drive, Lakeland, Florida 33803, followed by a procession and graveside service at Serenity Gardens.
Margie was born on the 8th day of February, 1939 in Lakeland, Florida to Herman and Mabel Rogers. She was a homemaker and worked multiple jobs throughout her life, most recently as the assistant manager for Goodwill and customer service at K-Mart. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandma and great grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Sammy Rogers, sister, Sue Rogers Roach and nephew, Little Sammy. She is survived by her husband, Charles Roach; children, Linda Haygood Hill, Brenda Haygood Walker (Barney), Allan Wayne Haygood (Lindsey); brother, Herman Rogers, Jr.; grandchildren, Adrain Hill, Amy Guskay (Danny), William (Joey) Howerton (Aliena), Kenneth (Kenny) Howerton (Jackie) and Ella Grace Haygood; great grandchildren, Austin, Jaedyn (Adrain), Tripp, Eva and Jace (Amy), and Kenadi, Keylin, Kaden and Hunter (Kenny); nieces and nephews, Chris Rogers, Kevin Rogers, Lisa Rogers, Michael Roach, Angela Roach Bell, Shannon Roach and Robin Rogers; bonus-children, Sandra Roach Bryant, Wanda Roach Richardson, Phillip Roach, Steve Roach and many other extended family members. Margie enjoyed fishing and one of her favorite fishing holes was Lake Kissimmee. She had a green thumb and loved tending to her orchids and other exotic plants. Margie was a one of a kind woman and will be sorely missed by her family and friends. “Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.”
