Ansley Hall III

August 9, 1955 - August 17, 2021

Ansley Hall III, 66, known to his family and friends and as “Andy”, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was born on August 9, 1955 in St Augustine, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ansley Hall Jr in 2003 and his mother, Isje in 2004. He grew up in Hastings and was a member of St Monica Catholic Church. Andy graduated high school from Briarwood School in Palatka in 1973 and University of Florida with a degree in Journalism in 1977. He served as sports editor for several newspapers in cities throughout Florida including Mount Dora, Kissimmee, Avon Park, Sebring and Arcadia before “coming home” and serving in that same capacity at the Palatka Daily News beginning in 1989 for nearly 30 years. In 1996, he married Laura Barry and in 2000 they welcomed a son into their family, Ansley Hall IV. Andy was also involved in the Florida Jaycees and earned the honor of Senator #43156 within the organization. Andy joined the Jaycees in 1980 in Eustis, FL, and served as District Director, Regional Director and as Sebring’s chapter President.  Andy went on to serve the Florida Jaycees in several VP positions and as an inspirational speaker. Andy’s Jaycee friends remember him with great love and respect.

Andy is survived by his wife, Laura; son, Ansley; three brothers, Stephen, Tom and Nicholas; two sisters, Margie Conner (Reid) and Mary Greenfelder (Steve) and many nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial Mass will be at St Monica Catholic Church, Palatka Florida on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11am.

There is a Celebration of his Life at 12:30pm at Villa Farms Clubhouse at 7300 Crill Ave Palatka, Fl after the memorial Mass.
