    Carolyn Brunson Morgan was born on August 1, 1949 to Ms Carrie Brunson Dudley and Mr Curtis McGee in Marianna, Florida and passed away on January 22, 2020 with her family by her side, at Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and children, in Lakeland, Florida.

    Carolyn graduated from Jackson County Training School in Marianna, Florida in 1967. She completed her training as a Nurse’s Aide in Hollywood, Florida and started her career at Memorial Hospital, also in Hollywood, Florid in 1968. Carolyn was a mild spirited person, unassuming with a quiet smile and disposition. She loved her family and life to a superlative degree.She exhibited her father’s smile and her mother’s charm and wit. We will always cherish Carolyn’s loyal friendship to all she met. Carolyn married her high school sweet heart, Gerald E. Myrick in December, 1970. Their marriage was blessed with one child, Tonya E. Myrick. As one relationship ended, in time another relationship opened when she married Gene Morgan on February 14, 1992, a marriage that remained strong until her death.

    Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Brunson Balom ; stepfather, Thomas J. Balom; daughter, Angelina Brunson; great grand daughter, Kali J. Larkin Brother-in-law, Dennis Morgan. Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 26 years, Gene Morgan; daughters, Tonya Myrick Washington, Pamela Morgan; sons, Darriell Morgan, Jeffrey Morgan, and Joseph Morgan ;brothers, Ronny (Sandra) Brunson and Kevin Morgan; grand children, JaDarius (DesJane) Larkin, Tampa, Trearis L. Ward, Texas, Maura Brunson, Jacksonville; great grand child, Kamryn B. Larkin, Tampa. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

    May the God of tender mercies and love sustain all who knew and loved Carolyn as we grieve her death. Carolyn is in God’s memory, the safest place in the universe because with God a resurrection back to life is indeed possible in his due time.
